Lamenting our strife deficient lives,
We aimed to belong beyond what's know.
This pass we made through refused our souls,
Rejecting the meanings we came for.

No longer the being that I knew:
My program was scrambled, genetic contaminant.
I searched for a truth to find there's none.
I stayed for the darkness; they all left me.

I'll make of this new world, and new life,
A meaning in itself light aside.
I pushed them too hard, and now they've left.
I pushed myself harder; they think I'm a goner.

The scope of my journey reached the edge,
Staring at infinite abyss.
To jump you'd die; to leave you'd cry.
I forfeit the past to sit forever.
