I was looking for
A place to rest.
He said, ''sleep is for the dead.
You've gotta live for the best.''

And he said, ''hey ya hey ya.
Hey ya hey ya.
Hey ya hey ya.
Open up your eyes and give your best.''
****
I hadn't seen him for a while,
'Till I found you.
A wicked man came up to me,
And said if I died you'd be free.

And he said, ''hold on. Hold on.
Life's too good to be gone.
We are already free.
It's all just a trick can't you see.''
****
So I went to the mountain top.
I went down to the sea.
I've seen all the stars.
I've seen everything.

And he said, ''hold on. You missed a spot,
Whether you know it or not.
I do admire your strength,
But the point was to journey into your brain.''
****
So I closed my eyes and I sat down.
I thought of everything I could.
I thought of all the things that scared me so.
But what he wanted I don't know.

Years and years went by, and I never saw
Not so much as a glimpse of him.
I gave up searching, and I found a place,
A place here all along.

And he said, ''wonderful this place can be,
If you mind is allowed to see.
You've turned out alright,
And I'll bid you goodnight.
You can finally rest here.''
****
I said, ''I don't,
I don't know
Where to go.''
I said, ''I don't,
I don't know where to go.''
He said, ''that's okay.
Just live for today.
It doesn't matter where you go anymore.
It doesn't matter where you go anymore.
It doesn't matter where you go anymore.
It doesn't matter where you go anymore.''
