We've been here before.

And the monsters keep rolling in
Out of the deep and you say, ''go away''.
And their eyes creep up closer,
The farther down that we get in the maze.

And their eyes, they get brighter,
The darker, the farther we go. Watch them grow.
And they've been multiplying;
The dark it's conducive to fear. Can't you see?

There's a road I used to know,
Back where the old trees grow.
We'll search to find our way here,
Back through the beasts haunting shadows.

We've been here before.

And the search team started
About half a lifetime too late, and we were gone.
The only ones missing out
Were the ones who wouldn't dare enter there.

And the only ones missing from life
Are the ones who won't brave through the caves.
If the world had then fallen,
I doubt if it'd even be clear why they're here.

There's a road they used to know,
Back where the old trees grow.
We'll search but never find them there;
They're too scared of beasts in shadows.

We've been here before.

As the clock begins ticking,
You hear the beast coming for you out of the blue.
As you fight off the end of your life
They can hear you for miles wherever you are.

As the creeping grows nearer,
Your thoughts turn to fears that you'll die most of the time.
Finally came to join us
Beyond what you thought was unknown; still alive.

There's a road we all have known,
Back where the old trees grow.
We searched to find a way in,
Becoming the beasts of the shadows.
